Retain Pro is a leading-edge soil-wetting agent designed to break the surface tension of water and evenly distribute water throughout the root zone. Soil-wetting agents attract water to the soil surface and help it soak in. Retain Pro helps you use water more effectively and efficiently, particularly during the hot temperatures of summer.

Retain Pro Wetter effectively manages hydrophobic soil.  Hydrophobic soil repels water and causes it to collect on the soil surface rather than infiltrate into the ground. Hydrophobic soils can be created from dryness (drought), plant and other chemicals making them impervious to water. Soil also becomes hydrophobic when organic matter decomposes, leaving a waxy coating on the soil particles. Hydrophobic soils cause water to run off or pool at the surface rather than being absorbed, which can cause serious problems for your lawn. It is a common problem in sandy or older soils, and can also affect soils that haven’t been watered or fertilised regularly.
